The AD-FMCOMMS5-EBZ is a high-speed analog module designed to demonstrate the AD9361-a high-performance, highly integrated RF transceiver suitable for 3G and 4G base stations as well as test equipment, software-defined radios, and other RF applications. The device’s programmability and broadband capability make it ideal for a wide range of transceiver applications. The device combines an RF front-end with a flexible mixed-signal baseband section and an integrated frequency synthesizer that provides a configurable digital interface to a processor or FPGA, simplifying design entry. The AD9361 chip operates over the 70 MHz to 6 GHz frequency range, covering most licensed and license-free bands, and the AD-FMCONMS5-EBZ board will be tuned and optimized specifically for 2.4 GHz. The AD-FMCONMS5-EBZ board will be specifically tuned and optimized for 2.4 GHz, and due to the limitations of the on-board discrete external components, it is possible that it may exhibit poor RF performance for certain other programming configurations.
